    The Role

    As a Senior Strategic Planning and Regeneration Officer, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of Uxbridge by delivering the Uxbridge Vision. Your focus will include:

    • Enhancing the town centre public realm

    • Supporting local businesses

    • Driving investment and unlocking major development opportunities

    You will lead a suite of proposed regeneration projects aimed at improving urban connectivity, boosting commercial viability, and fostering sustainable economic growth. This is a delivery-focused role, involving funding acquisition, stakeholder collaboration, and hands-on project implementation.

    About You

    We’re looking for someone with a strong understanding of place-making, who can champion Uxbridge’s development while bringing diverse stakeholders on board. You’ll have experience working in urban regeneration and the drive to turn ambitious plans into reality.

    You should be able to demonstrate the following:

    • Degree or equivalent qualification in planning, urban design, architecture, or a related field

    • Project management qualification or equivalent experience

    • Experience in regeneration, economic development, or planning in an urban context

    • Proven ability to commission and manage external consultants

    • Budget management experience within a regeneration/economic development setting

    • Ability to build strong partnerships across public, private, voluntary, and statutory sectors

    • Experience securing funding or investment for projects (desirable but not essential)

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing for varied audiences

    • Understanding of local government processes and the challenges facing local authorities

    • Experience in public consultation design and delivery

    • Confident in managing stakeholder relationships and representing the Council in official meetings

    • Sound knowledge of planning, regeneration, and/or urban design

    • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work under pressure
