  • About the role

  • Are you passionate about supporting children and young people to reach their full potential? We are currently offering a part-time position (9 hours per week) within our Universal Offer – Hillingdon Youth Offer. Our service runs year-round and spans the entire borough of Hillingdon. Work patterns include evenings, weekends, afternoons, and occasional residential opportunities.

This role sits within our Universal Team, specifically in the North Locality Team, and supports the expansion of our youth provision across the borough. You will contribute to delivering high-quality youth work through locality-based, detached, outreach, specialist, and accredited programmes in collaboration with statutory, community, and voluntary partners.

Our youth offer is responsive to need, supports aspiration, and provides safe, inclusive spaces for children and young people. You’ll help create opportunities that promote personal and social development, support informed decision-making, and foster respect and inclusion.

    About You

We’re looking for individuals who are passionate about working with young people and take a positive, holistic, and empowering approach to youth work. You will have experience working with children and young people in formal or informal education, or community settings. No specific qualification is required for this role — full training will be provided as part of your induction.

    The Ideal Candidate Will:

    • Be passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people

    • Have experience in community development and leadership

    • Be confident in planning, delivering, and evaluating both group and one-to-one sessions

    • Demonstrate the ability to work with hard-to-reach and vulnerable groups

    • Possess strong communication and active listening skills

    • Be proactive, reliable, and well-organised

    • Be respectful, compassionate, and approachable

    • Have a positive, solution-focused ‘can do’ attitude

    • Be able to work independently and collaboratively

    • Be flexible to meet the needs of young people, partners, and stakeholders

    • Have experience engaging with community groups and multi-agency teams

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to make a real impact in the community while gaining valuable experience in youth work.
