    We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and innovative professional to join us as Social Care Development Manager. This pivotal role is central to supporting the professional development of social care staff across both Adult Social Care and Children’s Services. 

    As our Social Care Development Manager, you will:

    • Provide expert leadership, advice, and guidance to colleagues and managers across the service.

    • Oversee and manage multiple social work education and development pathways, including:

      • Social Work Apprenticeships

      • Step Up to Social Work

      • ASYE (Assessed and Supported Year in Employment)

      • Student placements and Practice Educators

    • Develop and manage the Annual Training Plan across Children’s and Adult Social Care, ensuring our workforce is equipped with the skills and knowledge to deliver an outstanding service to Hillingdon’s residents.

    You will also represent Hillingdon Council in strategic forums, including:

    • Skills for Care

    • Department for Education

    • West London Alliance (WLA)

    • North West London Partnership (NWL)

    • West London Social Work Teaching Partnership (WLSWTP)

    • A qualified and experienced Social Work Manager

    • Registered Practice Educator with proven mentoring/coaching experience

    • Strong understanding of social work education pathways and training frameworks
