  • About the role

  • We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Social Worker to join our Review Team, where you’ll play a vital role in shaping high-quality, personalised care services. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of our residents by ensuring timely and thorough Care Act Reviews for older adults, people with physical or learning disabilities, and individuals with mental health needs.

    What You'll Be Doing:

    • Deliver high-quality statutory reviews under the Care Act 2014.

    • Support a strengths-based approach to social work that empowers residents to live independently.

    • Lead and mentor members of the Review Team, promoting a collaborative, supportive culture.

    • Manage team performance, development, and wellbeing in line with Council values and policies.

    • Develop and implement team plans aligned with wider service priorities.

    • Maintain effective service planning, including workforce and succession plans.

    • Ensure efficient use of resources and budget, adhering to financial guidelines.

    • Drive continuous improvement by monitoring team productivity and initiating service improvements.

    • Liaise closely with other council teams, service users, families, and external stakeholders to deliver holistic support.

    What We’re Looking For:

    • Qualified Social Worker with registration to Social Work England.

    • Strong experience in statutory social work, including the delivery of Care Act Reviews.

    • Proven ability to lead and supervise staff, supporting their growth and performance.

    • Deep understanding of relevant legislation, safeguarding frameworks, and best practice.

    • Passionate about making a difference in adult social care, with excellent communication skills.

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced, resident-focused team.
