  • About the role

  • We are looking for a dedicated and passionate NEET Caseworker to join our team in Hillingdon's Education Service. The successful candidate will work closely with the Post 16 Participation & NEET Co-ordinator and Head of Access to Education to ensure that young people aged 16-19 have access to education, employment, and training (EET) opportunities. This role is crucial in supporting young people to progress and succeed in their post-16 education and career pathways.
     

    The key responsibilities of the role include:

    • Track and monitor the EET status of young people aged 16-19 to ensure they have access to appropriate provisions.
    • Collaborate with schools, colleges, training providers, and support services to identify and secure pathways for young people.
    • Support interventions aimed at improving participation in education or training opportunities for post-16 young people.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of practice development programs for the Post 16 team.
    • Maintain accurate records and data pertaining to post-16 young people to identify trends and gaps.

    About You

     
    The essential criteria for the role include:
    • A recognised qualification in a related profession (e.g., education, youth work, child and family development) or a commitment to undertake and complete such training within 2 years of appointment.
    • Experience of working directly with families and young people experiencing social stress to achieve satisfactory outcomes.
    • Knowledge of evidence-based strategies for improving educational engagement.
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with various stakeholders.

    Additional Information:

    • This role requires an enhanced DBS check.
    • The successful candidate must be prepared to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service, including working with other teams within the Access to Education Service as required.
    • Willingness to take the majority of annual leave during school holidays.
