  • About the role

  • Hillingdon Council is seeking to recruit a Finance Business Partner to join its Adult Social Care business partnering team on a fixed-term basis (12-15 months). Operating a business partnering model, this team plays a crucial role in supporting the service with financial planning, budgeting, identifying and monitoring saving opportunities, and performance management.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide financial support to the Adult Social Care business, assisting with financial planning, budgeting, and identifying savings.

    • Monitor performance against a net budget of £130 million, which includes an Adult Social Care placements budget of £90 million and a Public Health Grant of £20 million.

    • Collaborate with key stakeholders to drive financial performance and ensure efficient service delivery.

    The Ideal Candidate:

    • Prior experience in local government adult social care is essential.

    • Experience in managing Adult Social Care placements would be desirable.

    • Strong knowledge of financial management and performance monitoring in a local government context.

    • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

    • Ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders and provide strategic financial advice.
