We are looking for a passionate and experienced Team Manager to lead our Adolescent Support Team.
This is a pivotal role, managing a team of dedicated social workers who support adolescents and their families facing complex and high-risk challenges. These include extra-familial harm, exploitation, family breakdown, and other safeguarding concerns.

As Team Manager, you will oversee casework, supervise and develop staff, ensure quality assurance, and drive performance to maintain a consistently high standard of service delivery.
Key responsibilities include:

Chairing strategy discussions and permanency planning meetings

Leading on safeguarding decisions

Providing professional oversight on complex cases

Promoting innovation and reflective practice within the team

About You
You will be a qualified social worker (CQSW, DipSW or equivalent) registered with Social Work England, bringing substantial post-qualification experience and a strong background in safeguarding adolescents.
You’ll also have:

A sound understanding of CIN, CP, contextual safeguarding, and relevant legislation (including Public Law Outline)

Experience of managing or supporting complex adolescent cases

A proven ability to supervise, support and motivate staff

Strong skills in performance management and quality assurance

Experience chairing professional meetings and contributing to safeguarding decisions

The ability to work collaboratively with multi-agency partners

A commitment to developing others, including newly qualified social workers and students
