  • About the role

  • Hillingdon Council is committed to enhancing our SEND Services, building on best practices from the SEND Reforms to deliver the highest level of support to children, young people, and their families. We are also working closely with educational settings to ensure that special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) are well supported.

As part of our continuous improvement, we have refined the role of our Annual Review EHC Coordinator to strengthen the statutory assessment process and improve co-production with professionals and families.

    In this role, you will:

    • Manage the statutory review process for children and young people with SEND.
    • Co-produce Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) in collaboration with families and professionals.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on SEND provision and work within a forward-thinking team that values innovation and collaboration.

    About You

We are seeking dedicated, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable practitioners who are passionate about improving SEND support across our local area.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

    • Experience in a Local Authority SEND Team or direct experience supporting SEND in an educational setting (e.g., Teacher, SENCo, or other qualified practitioner).
    • A strong understanding of the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively engage with families, professionals, and stakeholders.

    Additional Information

    • If you have applied for an Annual Review EHC Coordinator position at Hillingdon within the last six months, you do not need to reapply.
    • Please upload your CV and a Personal Statement explaining why you are suitable for the role. Applications without a Personal Statement are unlikely to be shortlisted.
    • We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. The successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check and other employment clearances.
    • Due to high application volumes, we may close this role early—we encourage you to apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

We look forward to receiving your application!
