  • About the role

  • We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Educational Psychologist SEMH Behaviour Specialist to join our team at Uxbridge Civic Centre, with flexible hybrid working options. This exciting opportunity is part of the newly established, multidisciplinary EHCP Plus Team within our SEND and Inclusion Services.

The primary goal of the EHCP Plus Team is to work closely with other SEND services to support children and young people (CYP) with complex needs who have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The team focuses on promoting inclusion within mainstream schools, directly engaging with CYP and education professionals, contributing to tribunal processes, and providing expert advice to enable CYP to reach their full potential.

As an Educational Psychologist SEMH Behaviour Specialist, you will play a crucial role by using your expertise to offer advice, training, and direct support. You will work collaboratively with other SEND specialists to achieve positive outcomes for students with more complex EHCPs, especially those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

This senior role will also contribute to the delivery of the Hillingdon SEND and AP Strategy Ambitions and the Local Area SEND & AP Improvement Plan, helping to enhance provision and promote mainstream inclusion across the borough.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Work as part of the small, multi-agency EHCP Plus Team to build inclusive practices and strengthen capacity in mainstream schools.

    • Provide expert advice, training, and support to school staff, ensuring that CYP with SEND and complex needs are effectively supported.

    • Work directly with CYP, including those with ASD/ADHD and complex SEMH needs, to better understand their individual needs and support aspirations.

    • Collaborate with families, school staff, and external agencies to create and implement tailored interventions and support plans.

    • Lead and support initiatives aligned with the Hillingdon SEND and AP strategies, contributing to service development and improved outcomes.

    • Promote psychological wellbeing, inclusion, and educational achievement across all ages and abilities.

    About You:
    You will bring:

    • Significant experience as an Educational Psychologist, particularly in SEMH and behaviour support.

    • A strong commitment to inclusive education and improving outcomes for children with complex SEND.

    • Excellent collaboration skills, working effectively across education, health, and care settings.

    • The ability to engage and support staff, pupils, and parents/carers with professionalism and sensitivity.

Educational Psychologist will receive an Additional  Payment of £2,000 gross. This will be paid in instalments each month and is a discretionary Market Factor Supplement payment.
