  • About the role

  • Are you passionate about early childhood education and committed to improving learning outcomes for young children? We are looking for an Early Years Advisory Teacher to support schools, childcare providers, and Children’s Centres in delivering high-quality early education across Hillingdon.

    As an Early Years Advisory Teacher, you will:

    • Support and guide early years practitioners in implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
    • Provide expert advice, coaching, and training to improve teaching, learning, and assessment practices.
    • Collaborate with schools, nurseries, childminders, and external agencies to enhance early education quality.
    • Use data, research, and Ofsted insights to shape professional development and drive improvement.
    • Lead initiatives to ensure the best possible outcomes for children, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

    Key Skills & Qualifications:

    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent early years teaching qualification.
    • Strong knowledge of child development and the EYFS framework.
    • Experience in mentoring, coaching, and delivering training to early years practitioners.
    • Ability to analyse data to identify gaps and drive improvements.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with multiple stakeholders.
    • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and travel across the borough (own transport required).
