  • About the role

  • We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Residential Care Worker to join our team at one of our Ofsted Registered Children’s Homes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support and guide young people aged between 8-17 years, helping them develop independent living skills and succeed in education, all within a nurturing, homely environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide excellent care and support for young people, ensuring compliance with Children’s Home regulations and the Quality Standard 2015.
    • Develop and implement care plans, risk assessments, behaviour management plans, and other required documentation.
    • Offer individual support and advice to young people, using strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships.
    • Supervise and support residential care workers and waking night staff, working closely with the deputy and registered manager to ensure the home meets all regulatory requirements.
    • Commit to improving the lives of young people, working towards positive outcomes in line with their individual needs and goals.

    Key Requirements:

    • Previous experience working with young people in a residential care setting is essential.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building meaningful relationships with young people.
    • Ability to work on a rota, providing care seven days a week, 365 days a year.
    • Flexibility and a passion for supporting vulnerable young people to achieve positive outcomes.
