  • About the role

  • We are recruiting a Residential Care Worker to join the team at Merrimans House. This is a part time position working 25 hours per week pro rata on a rota basis.
     
    Merrimans House is a 9 bedroomed respite service for Adults with Learning Disabilities. We provide a warm, caring and comfortable environment where our service-users can develop skills and achieve maximum quality of life whilst providing their care givers with a break.
     
    You will work within a team that provides day to day care and tailored support for each service-user, meeting their individual needs in accordance with their care plan. You will also ensure that the policies and essential standards of quality and safety are achieved.
     
    You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and will engage effectively with service-users with a variety of communication and care needs. You will be committed to treating others with dignity and respect in all areas of the care and support that you provide. Previous experience of supporting with people with learning or physical disabilities is essential for this role.
     
    You will be required to work on a rota covering early and late shifts 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The salary displayed has already been pro-rated and is for 25 hours per week.
