We are offering a part time position working 18 hours hours per week within the Hillingdon Youth Offer. Our offer runs throughout the year and across the whole of the borough. Work patterns may include daytime, afternoon shifts, evening shifts, weekend shifts, and occasional residential work.
The Hillingdon Youth Offer works with children and young people to deliver high quality, consistent youth work through Targeted, Locality based, Detached, Outreach and Accredited programmes across the borough in collaboration with the statutory, community and voluntary sector. Our work is responsive to need, supports aspiration and is offered in safe spaces and places. Our work delivers opportunities that promote personal and social development, encourage children and young people to make informed choices and respect and value difference.
This post will be placed within our Public Health Teams (LINK- Emotional Health and Well Being; KISS-Sexual Health and Well Being, SORTED- Substance Use and Misuse) to support promotion of expansion of our education and prevention offer for children and young people to make positive choices in relation to their emotional well being.
About You
The successful candidate will be committed to taking a positive, holistic and empowering approach to service delivery. We are looking for individuals with demonstrable experience and competence in developing work with children and young people within formal or informal education or community settings. We are seeking to recruit individuals with an excellent understanding of issues that children and young people face today and experience of leading a team. You will have a creative and dynamic approach and be able to engage with hard to reach and other vulnerable groups. There is no specific qualification required for this role, and training will be part of the induction. A willingness to learn and a commitment to supporting children and young people is a must.
As a Lead Programme Delivery Worker, you'll work within a small team of specialist practitioners delivering targeted services and have the opportunity to deliver an effective education and prevention programme offer, including workshops, assemblies, community events for children and young people, parents and professionals.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience and/or knowledge around healthy relationships and sexual health
- Have extensive and proven experience of community development and leadership
- Have experience of managing and leading groups and individuals
- Be confident to lead on the planning, delivering and evaluating group and one-to-one interventions and services that are responsive to need.

The salary advertised has already been pro-rated - the salary shown is for 18 hours per week.
