  • About the role

  • Are you ready to make a significant impact on the lives of looked-after children and their families? If you have a "can-do" attitude, a passion for working with children and families, and a commitment to improving their lives, we want to hear from you.

At Hillingdon, we are committed to creating a positive impact on the lives of looked-after children. Our supervised contact service plays a pivotal role in reuniting children and their families, contributing to a brighter future for those in need.

As a Family Time Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

    • Supervising and observing contact sessions between children/young people and their parents or family members.
    • Safely transporting or escorting children to and from contact sessions.
    • Observing, recording and reporting sessions.
    • Producing high-quality and comprehensive reports for court when required.

    About You

We're searching for a dedicated and motivated individual who possesses the following qualities:

    • A "can-do" attitude and a passion for working with children and families.
    • Excellent teamwork skills.
    • Flexibility to meet the demands of our busy service.
    • Effective communication skills, especially when working with children, their families, foster carers, and colleagues.
    • The ability to build strong working relationships with our Social Work Colleagues, foster carers, and associated professionals.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

    • Experience of working with looked-after children, children in need, or vulnerable children and their families is essential for this role.
    • To be available to work outside of 10.00am to 6pm Monday to Friday as transporting children to and from placement before and after a contact will be needed.
    • To be flexible - although you'll be allocated families to observe in advance, changes can be made during the week due to new referrals.
    • A valid driving license and access car for work purposes.

Please see the job profiled and person specification for full details.

If you are ready to be a part of a team that is dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of looked-after children, we encourage you to apply. Your commitment and passion can help create a brighter future for those who need it most.
