  • About the role

  • We are looking for a committed and experienced MARAC Co-ordinator to coordinate, administer and manage the operation of the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC).

The MARAC brings agencies together to ensure local systems are effectively keeping survivors safe, holding perpetrators to account and preventing domestic abuse. The role is centred on the key MARAC principles of survivor and children’s safety, offender accountability, and a clear message that domestic abuse is a crime that will not be tolerated.

The post holder will sit within the Domestic Abuse Service, working closely with the Stronger Families Hub and a wide range of partner agencies across the borough.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Chair and coordinate MARAC meetings, ensuring they run in line with agreed procedures and terms of reference.

    • Manage referrals, agendas, case information and meeting records to support effective multi-agency risk management.

    • Work closely with partner agencies including Children’s Services, Adult Services, Housing, Police, Health and voluntary organisations.

    • Promote awareness and understanding of the MARAC process across partner organisations and support training where required.

    • Ensure children are recognised and treated as victims in their own right within the MARAC process.

    • Maintain accurate monitoring systems and produce reports and data as required.

    • Contribute to reviews and service improvements to strengthen the local response to domestic abuse.

    About You

You will have a strong understanding of domestic abuse and its impact on victims, particularly women and children, alongside experience of working within multi-agency safeguarding environments.

You will be organised, confident coordinating meetings with multiple partners, and able to manage sensitive information with professionalism and care. Strong communication, partnership-working and IT skills are essential, along with a proactive and solution-focused approach.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in strengthening the borough’s response to domestic abuse and supporting the safety of survivors and their families.
