  • About the role

  • The Childrens Resources Finance Team administers financial support Looked After Children for Asylum Seekers, Care Leavers, and Children In Need with a core focus on the systems administration and processing weekly Bank payments, PFS and Foster Carers/Adopters/Special Guardians Order payments, Petty cash, Asylum stats.. The team is also responsible for setting up setting up rent accounts for Asylum care leavers and section 17 families. The team monitors Junior ISA/Trust funds for all looked and care leavers and is also responsible for processing Home Office grant claims.

    You will be responsible for providing a full range of financial support and guidance to the Children’s Social Care Teams.

    The position will involve handling high volumes of financial data, making various payments to Children and Young people, working closely with social workers, budget holders and other non-
    financial stakeholders.

    About the person

    You will have relevant experience of working in a public sector finance function-desirable

    You will have the ability to manipulate large volumes of financial data, be an effective communicator with internal and external individuals and be proficient in the use of IT packages such as Controcc, LCS, Microsoft packages, NEC (Housing).
