  • About the role

  • Hillingdon’s children’s homes are expanding, and we’re looking for passionate Residential Workers to help shape the future of our growing service.

As a Residential Worker, you’ll play a key role in supporting children and young people with complex needs, delivering high-quality care and stepping up for senior staff when required. You’ll lead shifts, contribute to care planning, promote wellbeing and safety, and help create a nurturing, stable home environment.

You’ll work closely with families, schools, and professionals to support each young person's development, rights, and outcomes – all in accordance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Hillingdon Council’s high standards.

    About You

We’re looking for compassionate, resilient individuals who are committed to making a real difference in the lives of young people.

You’ll bring experience, either professional or voluntary, working with children or adolescents, and either hold or be willing to work towards an NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce.

You are a confident communicator, a collaborative team player, and capable of leading shifts effectively. You understand safeguarding, child development, and the relevant legislative framework. Flexibility is key, you’ll be expected to work a rota that includes evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.

Join us and be part of an ‘Outstanding’ team dedicated to delivering exceptional care and better futures for our children and young people.
