  • About the role

  • Ready to Take Your SEND Leadership Beyond One Setting?

Do you want to influence inclusion across an entire borough?

Are you looking for a role where your expertise can shape practice, develop professionals and improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND?

If so, we'd love to hear from you.

We're looking for an experienced SEND leader to join our SEND Advisory Service and play a key role in driving inclusive practice across early years settings, schools and colleges. This is an opportunity to use your knowledge and experience to support system-wide improvement, work alongside a highly skilled multidisciplinary team and contribute to the delivery of SEND Reform priorities.

    What Makes This Role Different?

Rather than supporting one school or one service, you'll have the opportunity to:

    • Influence inclusion across a wide range of educational settings.
    • Work directly with Headteachers, SENCOs and senior leaders.
    • Shape innovative approaches through our Experts at Hand model.
    • Lead improvement activity that creates lasting impact.
    • Develop others through coaching, consultation and professional learning.
    • Be part of an ambitious service that is redefining how support is delivered for children and young people with SEND.

    What You'll Bring

    You'll be someone who:

    • Has a strong track record in SEND and inclusive practice.
    • Enjoys building relationships and influencing change.
    • Can inspire confidence and support others to improve.
    • Is passionate about achieving better outcomes for children and young people.
    • Thrives in a role that combines leadership, innovation and collaboration.

    In Return, You'll Get

    • The opportunity to shape strategic developments across the borough.
    • A varied and rewarding leadership role.
    • A highly supportive and experienced team.
    • Ongoing professional development opportunities.
    • The chance to make a genuine difference to the lives of children, young people and families every day.

    Make Your Next Move Count

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SEND professional who is ready to extend their influence, develop their leadership career and help create a more inclusive education system for all.

Join us and help shape the future of inclusion.
