  • Are you an experienced care professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering high-quality support?

We are looking for a Team Leader to join our respite service, supporting adults with disabilities and additional support needs in a safe, welcoming and person-centred environment. This is a rewarding opportunity to lead and support a dedicated staff team while ensuring individuals accessing the service receive high-quality care, enjoyable experiences and opportunities to maximise their independence.

As Team Leader, you will support the Registered Care Manager in the day-to-day running of a busy respite provision, ensuring that service users receive safe, effective and personalised support during their stay.

You will provide leadership and guidance to staff, oversee support planning and work closely with families, carers and professionals to ensure the service delivers positive outcomes for those who access it.

    You will:

    • Support the day-to-day management of the respite service.
    • Supervise and support staff, providing leadership, guidance and coaching.
    • Ensure support plans are delivered effectively and reviewed regularly.
    • Promote independence, choice, dignity and wellbeing for service users.
    • Act as a key worker and maintain positive relationships with families, carers and advocates.
    • Support the planning and delivery of meaningful activities, outings and short-break experiences.
    • Assist with admissions, stays and planned departures from the service.
    • Administer medication in line with policies and procedures.
    • Ensure accurate record keeping and compliance with safeguarding, care and health and safety requirements.
    • Undertake risk assessments and help maintain a safe environment for service users, staff and visitors.
    • Deputise for the Registered Care Manager when required.

    About You

We're looking for a caring, organised and proactive individual who can lead by example and support colleagues to provide an excellent respite experience.

    You will have:

    • Experience working within a residential, respite, supported living or social care setting.
    • Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or additional support needs.
    • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
    • Knowledge of safeguarding, risk management and person-centred support.
    • Experience building positive relationships with families, carers and partner agencies.
    • The ability to motivate, develop and support staff.
    • Excellent communication and record-keeping skills.
    • A commitment to promoting independence, dignity and positive outcomes for service users.
    • A flexible approach and willingness to respond to the needs of the service.
