You will help ensure our courses run smoothly across learning centres and outreach venues, providing excellent customer service while maintaining accurate records and supporting compliance with funding requirements.

Working as part of the Student Services Team, you will work closely with learners, tutors and colleagues across the service, helping to create a positive learning experience for residents across the borough.

    You Will:

    • Support learners throughout the enrolment process, ensuring eligibility requirements are met and accurate information is recorded.
    • Provide excellent customer service through face-to-face, telephone and written communication.
    • Assist with the day-to-day operation of Adult Learning Centres and outreach venues.
    • Monitor learner attendance and ensure funding and compliance requirements are met.
    • Prepare course documentation and support examinations and assessments.
    • Process learner payments and maintain accurate financial records.
    • Support service events, learner engagement activities and community outreach initiatives.
    • Work collaboratively with tutors, colleagues and external partners to support successful learner outcomes.
    • Contribute to service improvements and help maintain high standards of delivery across the service.

    About You

We are looking for an organised, customer-focused individual who enjoys working with people and supporting learning opportunities within the community.

    You will have:

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Experience working in a customer-focused, administrative or education environment.
    • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
    • Experience maintaining accurate records and handling sensitive information.
    • Good IT skills and confidence using databases and digital systems.
    • The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
    • A flexible approach and willingness to work across different centres and outreach venues.
    • A commitment to delivering excellent customer service and supporting learners from a wide range of backgrounds.

Experience working within an adult learning, education, training or further education environment would be advantageous.

    What We Offer

    • A supportive and inclusive working environment.
    • Opportunities for professional development and career progression.
    • A varied and rewarding role supporting adult learning across the borough.
    • The opportunity to make a real difference to residents by helping them access learning and skills development opportunities.
