This is a key operational management role responsible for ensuring repairs are delivered efficiently, safely and to a high standard, while maintaining excellent customer service and strong team performance.

You will oversee planners, lead operatives and trades staff, ensuring day-to-day repairs, inspections and works are effectively coordinated and delivered in line with Council standards and service targets.

As a Repairs Supervisor, you will:

    • Ensure repairs are completed to quality, compliance and performance standards
    • Support contractor and supplier management across the service
    • Investigate complaints, disrepair cases and service issues where required
    • Monitor budgets, performance data and operational systems
    • Deliver toolbox talks and promote health & safety best practice
    • Support service improvement and continuous performance management

    About You

You will have experience supervising repairs, maintenance, voids or housing property services within a local authority, social housing or contractor environment.

    You will bring:

    • Strong team management and operational leadership experience
    • Knowledge of housing repairs, inspections and maintenance processes
    • Experience managing contractors, suppliers and service performance
    • Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • A resident-focused approach and commitment to service improvement

This is an excellent opportunity to lead a frontline repairs service and help deliver safe, efficient and high-quality housing repairs for residents across the borough.
