  • Help Deliver a Repairs Service That Puts Residents First

Are you an organised and proactive administrator with a talent for managing complex processes and solving problems? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same?

At Hillingdon Council, we're committed to putting our residents first. We're looking for a Repairs and Voids Support Officer to join our Maintenance Service and play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality repairs and voids services across the borough.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated team where your organisational skills, attention to detail and customer-focused approach will help ensure residents receive an efficient, responsive and professional service.

As a Repairs and Voids Support Officer, you will provide high-quality technical and administrative support to our Repairs and Voids teams, helping to coordinate work, maintain accurate records, manage financial processes and support service performance.

Working closely with operational managers, contractors and colleagues across the service, you'll help ensure repair requests, void property activities and related administrative processes are managed effectively and in line with performance targets.

    You will:

    • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Repairs and Voids Service.
    • Respond to customer enquiries and ensure issues are escalated appropriately.
    • Support the delivery of routine, complex and emergency work activities.
    • Monitor, update and maintain service records and management systems.
    • Assist with financial administration, including processing payments and resolving queries.
    • Produce reports and management information to support operational performance.
    • Coordinate meetings, maintain action trackers and support team planning activities.
    • Work collaboratively across teams to ensure services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service delivery and resident satisfaction.

    About You

We're looking for a highly organised individual who can manage competing priorities while maintaining excellent levels of accuracy and customer service.

    You will bring:

    • Strong administrative experience within a busy service environment.
    • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
    • Experience working with databases, case management systems or similar business systems.
    • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records.
    • Confidence in handling complex enquiries and problem-solving independently.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Experience supporting financial processes and working within established procedures.
    • Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.
    • A flexible and collaborative approach with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

    What We Offer

At Hillingdon, you'll be part of an organisation that values its people and the contribution they make to our residents and communities.

    We offer:

    • A supportive and inclusive working environment.
    • Learning and development opportunities to help you grow your career.
    • Flexible working arrangements where service needs allow.
    • Generous annual leave entitlement.
    • Access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.
    • A commitment to employee wellbeing and professional development.
